I'll have to say big read one was cool. However, I hardly ever get a chance to play it because I'm the old fashioned dude who still plays games on the PC, and does not own any other gaming system. I realy liked the first CoD and it's expansion pack United Offensive. The Bastogne level is nearly impossible on veteran.

Call of Duty is an awesome game. No matter what I do though, I find myself re-doing the Chateau level in the alps. I usually blast through the enemies with my BAR blazing. I might have to sub in the Thompson at some point, but it just doesn't have the firepower. There's no better feeling than wiping out an entire Kraut company guarding a British captain in a Bavarian mansion on the heights!

You have to take that Chateau mission very slowly. Also you two guys to use as cannon fodder. When you come to the balcony don't step right out. Get your BAR out an a truck will pull up. If you kill the Krauts in the truck they'll come up behind; so if you miss one back track to meet him. That's the advise I have for that level.

Well, I didn't fail. Rather I play through it time and again. I pretty much have it down in regular. But that would be a more efficient way for a higher difficulty. On hard, I found that it takes a lot of work to clear the front hall with the stairs and overhang. But this section of the game is less of a squad firefight and more special operations.

I love that game, although I think I prefer Povlov's house to the Chateau. As for being old fashioned, I think that PC is the only real gaming system out there.
