I was wanting some feedback for what we should try out for the team so I decided to make this thread.
Ranks: Are you interested in having actual ranks? I'm a little on the fence with this, as ranks would be a cool feature (at least in my opinion) but might prove to be unnecessary and slightly overkill.
Team roles and positions: Commanding officer Executive Officer Rifleman Medic Designated Marksman (this will probably be something that's way down the road) Support Gunner (also will probably be down the road) ?Scout/pointman?
(any feedback and additions are welcome)
Using real world tactics: (I'm kind of assuming that this is a given)
Learning Proper Radio Communication: Such as how to speak properly and efficiently on the radio
Making a custom patch: We could actually go and design one and get it done professionally for us.
Callsigns: Do we want to each have our own unique callsign? or when we decide on a name just have it like bravo 1, bravo 2, bravo 3 except with the name there.
Any additions? Or ideas we could try for the team? I'm not saying every idea we have will be implemented but it's time we should start brain storming what we want this squad to be.

Positions are good. I'd say you as CO is an excellent choice, myself as XO, when I'm able, and Spidey when I'm not. Ecthelion, Caesar, you, and Spidey are riflemen, I've already asked Sev and I believe he wijldnsuffice as an SDM provided he has a decent gun and some spare mags (nothing's worse than a reloading SDM). I'd say from there we can establish an LMG gunner. This role could easily be taken by Sev as well, provided an LMG is to be had, or maybe Caesar.
One way I've seen squads get an LMG is to all pitch in an amount, and it becomes the teams LMG. So on the day of the game, if an LMG is needed, they can give it to whatever player is available and able. That way the team isn't left without support if the estimated gunner cannot make it that day.
Tue medic should be someone lightly armed and quick on there feet. I'd say Caesar would fit this role nicely. Meanwhile, Ecthelion and Spidey are excellt choices for riflemen. I've seen them be able to coordinate long term and sustained fire downrange.
Call signs are not necessary. Just our call signs should suffice, as you don't have to worry about your number or anything. I would only do it for official purposes, if you feel so inclined.
Patches are a good idea, but just give the time to get situated would be my advice. I was working on an idea for a patch earlier tonight, but I'll save it for later.
Sounds great, Ajax! Keep it up!

I actually was thinking of the same idea with the LMG.

Team roles is a great idea Ajax. I like the ideas placed forth by Abbot. The idea for the LMG also seems like a good plan. Spidey out.

Yeah, roles seems good. As Abbot said, I'm good with being SDM, I also have no problem with LMG duties if that is how I can help the team. I think I'm usually best when I hang back a little (emphasis) and give cover fire anyway. And I'd be willing to chip in with LMG.

A support gunner? Heck, yeah! If anyone seriously thinks I fit that role, I'm game. Otherwise, I fit rifleman pretty well. I am not sure about medic, though I could be persuaded. Like the ideas you guys have had.

You're fast and you like to run light. You're a perfect medic! Yeah, but I do not necessarily like to run period! Who even said a medic needs to run though? P.S. Why did you put a capital "I" in ideas Ecthelion?

Run light doesn't mean "run", just that you carry a light load.
