Ok, so I think we should break down the team into two squads for if we need to split... Gimme any ideas. Who do you think works well, who should not be on the same squad, etc. I think Squad 1 should be leant towards assault more (team gunner) and squad two should be leant more towards recon/oversight/flanking (Sev). So what do you think??
I think we should also have Ajax lead 1st platoon/squad and have Spidey lead 2nd. Gimme ideas!

Second platoon rec/flanking? I'm in, and Deathstroke is good at that too. Though as squad medic, I don't know how well that would work. I feel like we should have the sdm on assault. When grizz gets more milsim ready, he would be excellent on Squad 2.
Here is a rough plan with current pieces.
Squad 1 (death bringers) Ajax Abbot Sev Squad 2 (Ghost squad) Spidey Caesar Deathstroke
Future assets: Squad 1(Echthelion)Gunner Squad 2(Grizzly)Scout
What think you?

Sweet! I can't see anything that I would want to change.

Actually, as you and and ecthelion are excellent rifleman, you make much better assault riflemen. And SDM weapons provide far superior recce/scout rifles than assault rifles, the reason recce shooters use longer M4s for those jobs. So I'd put it completely opposite:
Squad 1/Able Company Spidey Ecthelion Deathstroke Abbot
Squad 2/Baker Company Ajax Sev Caesar
Now I'd prefer Deathstroke to remain in the rear but then advance with the assaulters, so I'd prefer him mainly in squad 1. Caesar would work for either, but I don't yet have a definite understanding of his play style to place him anywhere yet... I'm not sure where he works best. As for myself, I'll run most likely with the assaulters.
Squad 1 (or Able company...) job would be to mainly perform patrols until the main target is in sight. Baker company (squad 2) job would be to flank and scout our positions during patrols, scout enemy positions, and perform oversight and reinforcement during main assaults. They're usually the guys who are in, and spot, the first contact. Hence why longer weapons work best.
When we have an LMG, it should still remain on the assaulters. Flankers with heavy weapons will get bogged down. I'll get some graphs up to show how the movements work. And yes, I kinda want to stick with old school Able and Baker... Maybe if we recruited more guys we could add on a third assault company and have Charlie company...

I don't see Abbot's name there. And I think you sould keep in mind that the flankers need to be mobile. And even the scouts. I Agree about the LMG, And we really need to work on the team logo.

But assaulters need to be people with the tools for the job. Sev's gun suits the flankers much better. You and ecthelion would perform much better as assaulters as you're good at it and have shorter range weapons than Sev. And flankers need to have the best range we can give. They'll be more than mobile enough to keep up. Like I said, I'll post up how movement with flankers works tomorrow. Go to bed, Spidey.
Edit: and I'll probably run with the assaulters, so I'll be in Able.

I am now AWAKE and think that it will be fun no matter where we put everyone. Because it is. . ."Always a good time." This time round, at the 20th, we need to bring a map of the place.

How can Abbot tell Spidey to "go to bed" when he posts 1 hour AFTER spidey does?

Each of us should print a map and laminate it. I will have a laminated map on a clipboard. This map will either be in my pack or someone else's pack. On patrols or when we set up company HQ we'll bust it out and make plans. So Ajax will lead Baker co. and Spidey will lead Able when I'm not with it.
Also, I've had a change of heart... All of you are pretty good at assault, so i don't want Baker co. tasked with only flanking. Instead, we'll choose a flanker from each co. and when we need flankers, they'll do the job. So both will be used for assault. I think Sev from Baker co. And Ecthelion/Spidey from Able co. Would make good flankers... Anyone else think so?
Edit: because I'm batman Sev. Beating up criminals is a third shift job.

What Abbot said about long weapons makes sense. In that case, Abbot's gun would do well on the scout squad. I think that as a good rifleman, I would be placed on the assaulters. This would, I guess, result in a complete reverse of Spidey's original. Chalk 1 Spidey Deathstroke Caesar Chalk 2 Ajax Sev Abbot In our working together, I have discovered that these on chalk one have performed well in coordinated movement. The assaulters, as you put it, with their tractable weapons can "fit" around engagements better. Toting a banzai spirit (even if likely to get me killed), I think that I would belong here. Chalk two, while not lacking in any way for movement, have an advantage in firepower. I foresee many a group of unsuspecting foes getting their butts kicked by the flankers/scouts. But they would probably also be eliminating any opposing flankers as well. Ajax and Spidey are interchangeable and need to take either one as they see fit. I would like to hear from Ajax on all this. I think that as much input as can be given by each member about themselves and other members is essential EDIT: Seriously guys, let's stay on topic. <glaring over at Sev and Spidey>

Like I said, I don't think either company should be geared towards any form of fighting beyond one company having an LMG and the other having the DMR. That way we won't have the problem of one squad being assault ineffective. But the way you have it set up is pretty good. I would just point out that I cannot commit to either company being the team CO. So I think we should leave Thunder and I as interchangeables between either company. Also, I think we should use company or squad, Chalk isn't as common and harder to remember. But it really doesn't matter too much. It would also be cool to buy patches like for either company: www.ebay.com/itm/Maxpedition-Number-1-3D-RUBBER-PVC-VELCRO-PATCH-Color-ARID-/301005664061?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item461555ef3d
