Well, TMC came out with an AVS and it actually looks and performs very well... The original (Crye AVS) is basically a slightly smaller version of my plate carrier (Crye CPC). I would say that anyone who doesn't want a ModI JPC or doesn't want a tan PC, or just wants a multicam heavier rig should look into it. Just like my NCPC, it has removable skeleton molle cummerbund in two configurations which can be removed it you want to run it light. www.ebairsoft.com/adaptive-vest-multicam-p-7545.html

Those pouches look like they are built-in.

I haven't been here long, but I think Abbot might be a Crye junkie.

You guessed correctly... VERY correctly...
Caesar, the pouches are a removable and interchangeable flap.

Caesar, the pouches are a removable and interchangeable flap. But they are not Molle...gasp.

There is a molle panel, so you can do that too. Alot of people like the front three integrated pouches because it saves room instead of having a panel, and then pouches on top of it... Crye knows their potatoes.

Crye knows their potatoes. Or at least TMC knows their potatoes. Still it's not as flexible. Even my EPC works better than that!

TMC copied the design from Crye...
Works better? The AVS is the most adaptable designed plate carrier there is besides the Eagle AERO vest that came out last year. Hence the name "Adaptable Vest System". It has at least five different variations along with four different front panels (7.62 closed top, 5.56 closed top, open top shigle, and molle panel). There's a reason the Army SF, MARSOC, and some other SoF units ditched the EPC for the AVS...

That's not the point. Give me an EPC or an AVS and the EPC will have a far more workable load.

Um, that's not true in the least... And that's totally the point. -The AVS has better padded shoulder pads than the EPC and is far more comfortable by 100% -The AVS has an internal harness which makes the PC feel light, and off the body, unlike an EPC which hugs the body and is tight, and the harness allows for far better ventilation, cutting down on built up heat -The AVS is easier to don with the shoulder buckle and is easier to remove because of it, though the EPC has one as well -The AVS has internal pads (like my NCPC) which allows for grooves to let air flow through -The AVS harness has an internal bungee system which allows the PC to be customized in size for every user -The AVS has, first, molle on the c-bund (two rows to be exact), and then allows the user the choice of a triple, double, or single band airlite c-bund (the one a JPC has) which fits over the harness c-bund, but also can b removed if the user wants to run the PC slick -The AVS has four choices of flaps: Closed top mag pouche flap (used by HAHO jumpers so the mags stay in during the jump) and also cut out having to have mounted pouches one top of a molle flap, cutting down on bulk (something EPC users have to deal with). These come in two variations, 5.56 and 7.62 and are double stack capable. Open Top mag pouch flap for users that dislike close top and like the bungee retention Molle panel which is simply a panel of molle for anything the user wants -The AVS has zippers on the back plate bag to allow the attachment of back panels, interchangeable for users who have different setups, or just find molle cumbersome -The AVS has many different configurations: "PC" Mode: simple the platebags and user's choice of the three airlite c-bund, so a nicer form of a JPC "Assault" Mode: Platebags, harness, and choice of c-bund "Slick" Mode: I think that's what it's called... it's only the plate bags and harness It has been adopted by SoF because it is vastly superior to the EPC and the PCs they used to use.
