Alright so yesterday may have been a loss for Phalanx. But I want to say we put up one hell of a fight! I think the Combat Junkies were truly surprised at our speed and ingenuity while under fire. Ajax did a great job in command our first game was almost a complete success, we surprised them with our flanking move. I think if we had pushed into the town faster we would have been able to get the case and get out of there. I don't think they could have matched our speed and had we got the package we would have won. It was probably our closest game.
The second game went just as well, being the defenders we didn't stand much of a chance, they out numbered and had better weaponry. Though it was during there trip back to the extraction point that we showed our strengths. I was actually surprised that we made it back to there extraction point before they did. Sev, Ceaser, and myself where able to put ourselves between them and there extract. we got two or three of them before there LMG pinned us down and they got us.
My favorite of the games had to be the last one, we didn't stand a chance but we didn't just give up we gave our all! WHile Ajax and the rest of the team pushed into the town. Spidey and I ran left to flank from behind. We got behind there position but that LMG kept us from going into the town. During our flanking run we were trying to sneak around the flank... well that LMG started shooting in our direction. I was behind Spidey and and when I heard it I yelled "SHIT! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!" We ran with bbs flying around us for at least 30ft before we got out of range. We found ourselves on the rear of the town. In a swamp area. We needed to push left so Spidey yelled "Thunder push left" I looked left and saw a knee deep water pool... so in my way I ran through it... three times... thanks Spidey. I ended up getting soaked for nothing as we had to retreat because Ajax and his team all died. We ended up having a final stand in a corps of trees. In the end we got surrounded, but we lived till Spidey ran out of ammo. I was killed by the combat junkies medic and before Spidey could tag me back in he was shot up by the LMG. All in all a great game and one I think we should do again. I feel like even though we lost, we made our enemy think and did our job in helping them train.
